For a new person, the best way that I know of to make money with internet marketing is to begin selling affiliate products that are in a niche with highly motivated buyers.  Not only do you want highly motivated buyers, but you also want there to be huge numbers of them.  If you are working a huge niche, it will be easier to get enough scraps for it to be worth your while.   You can still make money by taking just a really small percentage of the total market for that particular product.

Finding a niche where people are highly motivated is easier than you think.   One way to do this is to think about some situation where a person would pay just about any amount of money to get out of.  For instance, if you know anyone who has suffered with panic attacks, then you would realize that they would pay any amount of money to make it stop.  If you know someone who is way overweight and has no self esteem, then you might realize that this person would be willing to pay huge sums of money today to make those problems go away.  Those are examples of highly motivated buyers.

You will find highly motivated buyers in industries that relate to a person’s health, financial situation or relationships.  Within those areas you will find people who are in a lot of pain and are looking for solutions to make that pain go away.  Your job is to help bridge the gap between the people who need help and the people who can help them.  In the process, you earn an affiliate commission.

Make sure the affiliate products you are promoting are ones that you truly believe will help the person.  Don’t become one of those people who will try to sell anything to anyone just to make a buck.  Make sure you aren’t taking part in some author’s scam to take money from people just because they are in pain.  Doing something like that will eventually come back to bite you.  What goes around, comes around.  Just because you find a product that other people are selling, doesn’t necessarily mean that the product is legit or that it actually helps buyers.  Do your best to provide real value for people.  Don’t just add to the volume of worthless junk that is already online.

If you have a lot of personal experience with something people would be willing to pay for and can offer real help to people going through it, then you could think about selling your own product.  You could create your own little eBook.  Ultimately, this is where the really big money is at.  When you are first starting out though, you should stick with selling other people’s products first.  Once you get going with that, then you can begin looking for opportunities to produce your own products.  In fact, once you begin selling other people’s products, you will begin seeing opportunity everywhere you look.

There are plenty of opportunities to make money as an affiliate marketer.  Use your head.  Not every product that is advertised is legitimate.  If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.  It is also quite possibly a scam.

Follow your projects through till the end.

One of the best pieces of advice I could offer a beginner is to follow each project through till the end.  It is really easy to lose focus in this business.  You absolutely must develop the discipline to finish one project before you begin another.  Otherwise you will most certainly end up juggling too many things when you haven’t even learned enough from the first one.  This causes you to end up making a bunch of unnecessary mistakes on a number of projects instead of learning as you go along.

Success in this business does not come overnight regardless of what some guru is telling you.  You will have to put in your time.  It will take quite a while to understand what you are doing.  Unfortunately, that is the honest truth.  Don’t hope and expect to be an overnight success.  Expect it to take a year or more.
